Highlights from New Hope Compassion's outreach across Eastern Europe, East Asia, and North Texas.

Eastern Europe

Eastern Europe outreach

  • Distributed hundreds of Christmas gift boxes, handmade hats, and Bibles for a special orphanage with 500 orphans who were relocated for safety from 38 orphanages throughout Ukraine.
  • Two short-term mission teams this year provided orphan outreach in Poland, Ukraine, and Romania.
  • Two shipping containers full of humanitarian donation cargo for Ukraine and Romania were sent this summer and winter, providing critical aid to the needy refugees and orphans.
  • Established a warehouse in Cluj, Romania, serving as a donation hub to receive, store, and distribute donations throughout Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Poland, and beyond.
  • An orphanage sponsorship program was implemented for Onesimus House in Timisoara, Romania — a Christ-centered orphanage filled with love, music, and hope. Weekly online ESL and monthly mentorship programs are in place.
  • We are blessed with many collaboration partners. Our nonprofit's outreach has expanded greatly by working together with many strategic like-minded partners.

East Asia

East Asia outreach

  • Over 20,000 children and 40+ schools were reached during this Christmas season. The Good News and the Christmas story were shared with these children in Thailand and neighboring countries by our missionary and his team of 16 co-workers.
  • In another restricted country, our co-workers were able to increase sharing and more discipleship training.
  • A new Compassion House was added in 2023, bringing our total to five. Compassion House serves as a respite place for temporary stay and fellowship, serving impoverished patients while seeking cancer treatment at nearby hospitals.

North Texas

Local outreach

Clear backpacks filled with school supplies for homeless and underserved children.
  • A mentorship program for young adults focused on college and working young professionals, providing opportunities for fellowship, leadership and professional development, life-discovery, and witnessing.
  • Provided hundreds of backpacks and school supplies to local nonprofit partners serving homeless and underserved school children.
